Windows 10 v1803, has brought to the table several important changes that are designed to fix many problems and to transform the operating system into something impressive. One of the important changes has much to do with the user interface. As we know, Microsoft is moving ahead with plans to get rid of the old user interface, and that includes the Control Panel.

Now, with the right wallpaper, having the transparency up and running can look quite beautiful, but at the same time, it may slow down slower systems. For this very reason, many folks might want to get rid of the thing, and we’re going to show you how.

Launch the Settings app, then venture off to Personalization > Colors. Scroll down until you’ve come across something that says “More options,” then look for the words, “Transparency effects.”

You’ll see the option to turn it off or turn it off. Once the button has been toggled, the changes will take effect right away. If this doesn’t happen, restart the computer, and you should now be good to go.

Other things you can do here include the ability to automatically pick an accent color from the background, manually select from a list of colors, or customize your own color options.

Additionally, folks can even choose where to show their accent colors. For now, there are only two options: “Title bars,” “Start, taskbar, and Action center.” It’s even possible to choose a light or dark background if that’s something you’re interested in changing.

Please remember that if your Settings app doesn’t have a similar look to the screenshot above, then your computer has yet to be updated to Windows 10 1803. We recommend returning to the home section of the Settings app, click on Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
