This video shows the steps to follow if the built-in driver failed to install in Windows 10 Step 1: Remove the printer from Devices and Printers. Step 2: Connect your printer to the computer. It says 'Failed to install on (date) - 0x800705b4' If I click the hyperlink for the 'Intel - net - 19.51.9.1' it brings me to a sysdev.microsoft.com link about Driver Information that says 'Driver Information: Coming Soon. Driver Booster provides only NVIDIA Standard drivers for now. If users install DCH drivers on the computer and use Driver Booster to update NVIDIA graphics drivers, the update will fail. In the near future, Driver Booster will support DCH driver update to fix Nvidia Installer Failed problem.

We understand the frustration when things don't go the way they supposed to. Let me assist you to resolve the issue from here.

An NSIS error occurs when you download a program that fails an integrity check during installation. Failed integrity checks usually occur due to corrupt files. Under such circumstances it is advisable to install the program/drivers using a fresh copy. However, if it still does not help, follow the below methods and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Method 1

Windows Failed To Install Driver Place the computer in a Clean Boot state and check if there are any third party application/software to be causing the issue.

A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program.

Note: Steps mentioned for Windows 8/8.1, will work fine with Windows 10.

Additionally, disable any third party antivirus/firewall software installed in your computer, and check if it helps to isolate the cause the issue.

NOTE: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
